Delaware's annual ML Conference and DELLTA to host in-person reception

The Delaware Department of Education is excited to invite you to attend our 4th annual Multilingual Learner Conference- “Mission to Multilingualism: The Future is Now!”  This is a free two-day virtual event open to all educators, advocates, and constituents interested in advancing outcomes for multilingual learners!

Please join us April 17-18 with sessions led by national experts in support of the advancement of the DDOE's vision and commitment to empowering Delaware’s multilingual learners to thrive through high-quality education and honoring of their cultural and linguistic assets.  This year our 2024 virtual conference will align with the newly released DDOE Multilingual Learner Strategic Plan.  Sessions will focus on our key priorities, with both distinguished speakers from the field, as well as Delaware educators who are being spotlighted for their outstanding work with MLLs.  More sessions are being added daily, including sessions dedicated to equity, both elementary and secondary instruction, and dual language immersion.

At this time, participants are encouraged to pre-register for the conference in Eventbrite (which can also be found on the flyer).  Everyone who has pre-registered will get an email to complete their registration and select the sessions they wish to attend.  This information will be finalized in the coming month.  Participants are welcome to join any, or all, of these engaging sessions.  For now, we encourage you to mark your calendar and get ready for another amazing conference!

Additionally DELLTA will be hosting the in-person reception in Dover following the conference on Wednesday, April 17 in Dover from 4:30-7:30 PM. We hope many members are able to attend and get together at this special event. More details will be forthcoming.

Please spread the word!
