----------------------

The American Rescue Plan Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ARP ESSER) Fund under the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act of 2021, Public Law 117-2, enacted on March 11, 2021 provides a total of nearly $122 billion to States and school districts to help safely reopen and sustain the safe operation of schools and address the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the nation’s students. Delaware will receive $410,733,965.00 with 90% allocated to the districts and 10% allocated to the state. With the release of these funds, the Delaware Department of Education (DDOE) are engaging with students, parents, educators and stakeholders across the state to compile feedback to ensure the needs of students and communities are best reflected.

In an effort to include all voices, stakeholders may access stakeholder.feedback@doe.k12.de.us to provide feedback on the three following questions:

1) In what ways have the effects of COVID-19 impacted students’ academic, social, and emotional needs?

2) In what ways can this funding provide immediate and long-term support for these needs?

3) How can Delawareans work together with these funds to quickly provide more in-person learning options for students quickly, sustain schools' safe operations, support students' social, emotional, mental health, and academic needs, and boldly address inequities exacerbated by the pandemic?

Your input is important, so we appreciate your feedback."
