"Isabel Sánchez joined the family of Telemundo Delmarva and WBOC in January 2018.

She was born and raised in Maracaibo, Venezuela, where from a young age she worked in different media. She started on local radio at age 16 and continued to work as an announcer while studying social media audiovisual mention at the prestigious Rafael Belloso Chacin University from which she graduated with honors and mention Summa Cum Laude.

Her career in television journalism began on the regional channel Telecolor, in her hometown. Where she served as a journalist and anchor of news. During her time on local Venezuelan television, Isabel covered events of global impact such as the death of former President Hugo Chavez and the 2014 protests that left scores of dead.

In 2015, and due to the difficult social-political situation in Venezuela, Isabel moved to the United States. A year later she began her postgraduate degree in audiovisual journalism at S.I Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, one of the best institutions in the field of communications in the country. She completed his studies with an internship at Spectrum News in Central New York and as a correspondent from Washington D.C. for the WPRI channel in Providence Rhode Island.

Isabel successfully completed her studies at Syracuse and was recognized with two university awards for her outstanding academic and professional work at the school. Just after graduating, she began her work as a member of the Telemundo Delmarva team and a bilingual journalist for WBOC.

Isabel enjoys the beach, good music and dancing when she is not covering stories in the Delmarva community."
